2026 AABIP/AIPPD Mid-Year Advanced Bronchoscopy and Thoracoscopy Course for IP Fellows

The American Association for Bronchology and Interventional Pulmonology & Association of Interventional Pulmonology Program Directors are pleased to announce our 3rd annual 2026 Mid-Year Advanced Bronchoscopy and Thoracoscopy Course for IP Fellows, to be held in Houston, Texas on January 30-31, 2026, at the MITIE Lab at Houston Methodist.

Focused on robotic and image guided bronchoscopy, advanced rigid bronchoscopy (airway stenting, ablation-assisted rigid debulking) and thoracoscopy in cadaveric models, the course is designed to provide fellows with coaching in specialized techniques and tools that may not be available at their home institutions. Fellows will also benefit from exposure to diverse procedural styles taught by a world-class faculty.  We anticipate more than 50 IP Fellows and Faculty will participate in this course.


Agenda highlights
We encourage learners to arrive no later than the evening of Thursday, January 29th, to ensure they have a restful night and be fully energized for the two day course.

TRAVEL 

To support the IP Fellows participation in this course, AABIP will provide up to 2-nights of hotel accommodation at the official course hotel and up to $500 travel reimbursement.  Additional information will be provided to program directors and fellows. 

Preferred arrival airport: Hobby Airport (HOU)

Transportation: Uber or Lyft is the most cost effective way to come from the airport to the Hotel.
