1st International Symposium on Intra-Tumoral Therapies in Lung Cancer

Despite recent advances, lung cancer remains a leading cause of morbidity and mortality and is frequently complicated by airway obstruction. Intratumoral chemotherapy has been used for many years as an adjunct for the treatment of malignant airway obstruction. Recently, several new devices have been developed to aid in bronchoscopic ablation of peripheral lung cancer. Further, many trials are investigating the use of percutaneous or bronchoscopic intratumoral therapy, especially as a strategy for drug delivery, including immunotherapy. This two-day CME symposium will review the history and current state of intra-tumoral therapy for lung cancer and potential future applications.
