American Association for Bronchology and Interventional Pulmonology Since it’s founding in 1992, the AABIP has been a unifying source for information regarding the fields of Bronchology and Interventional Pulmonology. Over the last few years, we have achieved significant milestones, including having the Journal of Bronchology and Interventional Pulmonology become indexed on Index Medicus, having IP Fellowship programs become part of the National Residency Match Program, running twice-yearly scientific symposium and developing and implementing the first Board Certification Exam in Interventional Pulmonology. New ContentImportant Announcement Regarding Eligibility Criteria For AABIP Interventional Pulmonology Board Certification Exam

The AABIP intends to establish a certification process in an effort to improve the quality, consistency and scientific rigor within the field of Interventional Pulmonology. This will provide patients, healthcare organizations and other interested parties with a standard and readily comprehensible description of the qualifications and experience held by the physician whose services are being engaged. This will enhance clinical care, foster greater collaboration, improve research, advance science and encourage standardization of the training process. More »
